ICSSAM 2014 is an international conference for state-of-the-art research in Social Science and Management. 2014 International Conference on Social Science and Management - ICSSAM 2014 will be held in Kyoto, Japan during May 7-9, 2014. It is one of the leading international conferences for presenting novel and fundamental advances in the fields of Social Science and Management. It also serves to foster communication among researchers and practitioners working in a wide variety of scientific areas with a common interest in improving Social Science and Management related techniques.
English is the official language of the conference. We welcome paper submissions. Prospective authors are invited to submit full and original research papers which is NOT submitted/published/under consideration anywhere in other conferences and journals.
Why Kyoto?
UNESCO World Heritage Sites are said to "represent a masterpiece of human creative genius" and have "outstanding universal value." The variety, historical span and sheer number of World Heritage Sites in Kyoto is unrivaled in Japan. Nijo-jo Castle and the sixteen temples and shrines below were selected as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1994. For over thirty five years the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, has sought to name, catalog, and preserve the natural and man-made treasures of humanity.

Keynote Speech Topic: Recognizing the Effect of Hidden Cultural Bias in Cross-Cultural Communication
Culture is a meaning system of norms, beliefs, values and traditions that we share with other members of our community. It is both dynamic in that it evolves as we interact with different groups or contexts and stable as these values and beliefs are passed down from one generation to the next. It defines who we are as community members and shapes our interpretation of reality by helping us unconsciously select which stimuli are important and which can be ignored.
